The 5th edition of Gabrielle et Guillaume

Gabriel & Guillaume, creators of Lebanon’s remarkable pop-up interiors, are back
this fall with a brand-new show. This time around, the highly awaited, creative setup
is taking place inside Downtown’s first vertical village, Beirut Terraces, designed by
Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron and developed by Benchmark.

Beirut Terraces

In a space that covers 870 square meters, Gabriel & Guillaume have brought
together pieces from over 50 designers, successfully mixing and matching rare
furniture and home accessories from around the world, with dramatic, spellbinding
results.

In a space flooded with light via floor-to-ceiling windows, visitors are up
close and personal with bespoke pieces from Brazil, Italy, France, Denmark, the
United States and other historic locales. The vintage items, from the likes of Gio
Ponti, Wendell Castle, George Nakashima, Gino Sarfatti, Jorge Zalszupin, Jose Zanine
Caldas, Gabriella Crespi and many others have been meticulously gathered over the
course of several years.

All pieces blend together and exist as they would in a personal residence, infusing the space with history, drama, luxury and an inimitable personal touch .

This year, the focus of Gabriel & Guillaume’s pop-up gallery is on the 20th century,
featuring mainly mid-century modern pieces, complemented with commissioned
contemporary pieces.

The eclectic offerings include a number of original and rare Brazilian pieces, plus a number of collaborations with the likes of edgy Dutch designers Os & Oos, renowned French designer Pierre Bonnefille and sophisticated Italian architect Mauro Mori. Iwan Maktabi also designed a unique rug with Colombian textile specialist Jorge Lizarazo.

In addition to the vintage items and specially designed pieces, the entire space is enhanced with selected artworks, ensuring an immersive sensory experience in which guests can relish and understand Gabriel & Guillaume’s design ethos.
